Sound familiar?

When HubSpot’s built-in integrations aren’t enough

HubSpot’s App Marketplace covers the common tools. These are the signs your business has outgrown it.

The connector stops short

The marketplace app syncs contacts, but not the invoices, orders or bookings your sales team actually needs to see.

Fields don’t line up

Your data model doesn’t match HubSpot’s defaults, so records arrive half-mapped or in the wrong property.

Duplicates everywhere

The same customer exists three times because each system creates its own record.

Sales can’t see finance

Reps chase a deal without knowing the last invoice is still unpaid in Xero.

Per-task bills keep growing

A Zapier or Make workflow that was cheap at 100 records a month isn’t cheap at 10,000.

Your system has no connector

Your ERP, booking platform or in-house software isn’t in the marketplace at all.

Reports you can’t build

The numbers you need live half in HubSpot and half somewhere else.

Someone exports a CSV every week

A person is still the integration, copying data in and out by hand.

What we build

HubSpot development and integration, built by engineers

We’re a software house, not a marketing agency, so we work on the technical layer of HubSpot: the APIs, data model and code that make it fit your business.

01

Custom HubSpot API integrations

Two-way syncs between HubSpot and your accounting, ERP, ecommerce, booking or in-house systems, using HubSpot’s CRM APIs and webhooks, with your business rules for which system wins when data disagrees.

02

Data model and custom objects

Properties, associations and custom objects designed around how you actually sell and serve, so HubSpot holds the records your team needs, not a workaround.

03

Workflow extensions and webhooks

Custom-coded workflow actions, webhook handlers and private apps that let HubSpot workflows trigger real work in your other systems.

04

Migrations into HubSpot

Moving from another CRM or a spreadsheet? We clean, de-duplicate and map the data, run test imports and verify everything before go-live.

05

Website, forms and portals

Enquiry forms, quote requests and customer portals that land in HubSpot with the source, page and context attached, ready for follow-up.

Systems we connect

What we connect HubSpot to

If it has an API, an export or a database, we can almost certainly connect it to HubSpot. These are the integrations we’re asked for most.

Accounting

HubSpot and Xero or MYOB

Invoices, payment status and customer records on the deal and company, so sales and finance see the same numbers.

Ecommerce

HubSpot and Shopify or WooCommerce

Orders, products and customers flow into HubSpot for segmentation, follow-up and lifetime-value reporting.

Practice & bookings

HubSpot and Nookal or Calendly

Appointments and patient or client activity drive your nurture and re-booking workflows.

ERP & custom

HubSpot and your ERP or in-house system

Business Central, NetSuite or software built just for you, connected with your own rules and error handling.

Honest advice

Marketplace app, Zapier or a custom HubSpot integration?

We recommend the simplest option that will hold up. Sometimes that isn’t us writing code.

Marketplace app

When the native connector does the job

If HubSpot’s own app syncs what you need, in the direction you need, we’ll tell you to switch it on and help you configure it properly.

Automation tool

For simple, low-volume jobs

Zapier or Make suit light, one-way tasks. Once volumes grow, per-task pricing and silent failures usually make custom cheaper and safer.

Custom integration

When the data matters

Two-way sync, your own business rules, retries, logging and alerts, with no per-task fees. You own the code from day one.

How it works

How a HubSpot integration project runs

The same four steps as every integration we build. You sign off on each one, so there are no surprises in scope, timing or cost.

01

Scope

We map every object and property that needs to move, which system owns it, how often it syncs and what happens when records conflict or fail.

02

Proposal

A plain-English plan with milestones, so you know what you’re getting and when. If a marketplace app would do, we’ll say so here.

03

Build and test

We build against a HubSpot sandbox or test account and your real systems, milestone by milestone, so live data is never the test bed.

04

Launch and support

Go-live with documentation, logging and alerts in place, then month-to-month support as HubSpot and your other systems change.

Built to last

Integrations your Australian team can rely on

An integration is only useful if it keeps working. Every HubSpot integration we build includes the parts that cheaper jobs skip.

Logging and alerts

Every sync is logged, and failures raise an alert instead of failing quietly.

API limits handled

Batching, retries and back-off keep large syncs inside HubSpot’s rate limits.

Least-privilege access

Private apps and OAuth scopes are limited to exactly what the integration needs.

Hosted where you want

Run it on your infrastructure or ours, hosted in Australia, with credentials stored securely.

FAQ

HubSpot integration questions

Are you a HubSpot partner?

Yes. Code Squirrel is a HubSpot development partner. We focus on the technical side of HubSpot, such as integrations, data models, custom code and migrations, and work alongside your HubSpot admin or marketing agency.

Do we need a particular HubSpot subscription?

Basic API integrations work on most HubSpot plans. Some features, such as custom objects and custom-coded workflow actions, need specific HubSpot tiers. We’ll check your subscription during scoping and design around what you have.

How much does a HubSpot integration cost?

The first consultation is free. Scope and design is a fixed price from $1,200 ex. GST, and you get an estimate for the build before development starts. The build itself is quoted and delivered milestone by milestone.

How long does it take?

A simple one-way sync can be live in days. Larger two-way integrations are delivered in milestones, and our typical time to a first release is around four weeks.

Do you run HubSpot marketing campaigns or onboarding?

No. We’re engineers, so we build the integrations, data and custom functionality underneath. We’re happy to work with your in-house team or HubSpot marketing agency, who own the campaigns.

Who owns the integration?

You do. The source code, hosting and credentials sit in your name from day one, so there’s no lock-in, and support afterwards is month to month.
